|Great Battery but Solar is Useless,
I’ve been setting this outside, for hours at a time, every sunny day for weeks. It still hasn’t charged up enough to increase one of the 4 status lights. When charging via USB it works wonderfully, and fully charges my iphone 3gs with some to spare. The solar panels are just for decoration. Save your money and buy a regular rechargeable battery, I’m convinced solar chargers just aren’t ready yet. If you insist on trying one, get one with a much larger surface area. Let me know if you find one that works.

|works great for USB Speakers,
I’ve used this multiple times at the beach. I bought it more for the backup battery, not so much for the solar part. SOlar technology is quite unimpressive these days, or at least for things this small. Don’t expect this thing to bring your electronics the power of the sun very quickly. Actually, what I’ve learned is that some of these backup batteries are too large, and they require a lot of current to get the internal battery charged. With a solar panel this size, it’s not going to work very well. The solar seems like a gimmic, but the rechargeable battery part works great. Used my USB speaker for about 6 hours at the beach. Awesome for my use, others maybe no.
