The price of Ipad drops to $299?

There is a possibility that the price of Ipad may go down to $299.
With the expected release of Ipad 3 in 2012 rumors are doing the round that the price of the basic model the 16 GB may go from $499 to $299. The Ipad 1 now goes for about $399.

DiGI Time is an online tech site based in Taiwan that reports that the prices could go lower this year. However many experts are skeptical. Apple has been consistent in its pricing of the Ipad. It has not changed the prices since the beginning. However the price of the first generation Ipad dropped form $499 to $399 after the roll out of the second generation Ipad.
